Why Palate?

Lenora, founder and CEO of Palate, first caught the wine bug while pursuing her graduate studies in war, religion, diplomacy, and conflict resolution. By day, she was immersed in intense global challenges—by night, she poured wine at a neighborhood bar to pay for school. That’s where she discovered something unexpected: wine could be a gateway to presence, connection, and storytelling. It built community in a way nothing else could.

Since then, Lenora has continued working in wine—leading tastings, managing retail programs, and educating curious drinkers in settings as varied as boutique shops, private events, and professional trainings. She holds a Level 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Level 1 certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers and has completed Certified Wine Specialist coursework.

Her mission with Palate is simple: to help people find wines they love and understand why—all without the snobbery. Whether you're brand new to wine or deep into your journey, she invites you to explore, learn, and savor together.
