Palate’s Off-Site Wine Tastings are designed for people who want to create a memorable wine experience for guests anywhere gatherings can be held. Whether you’re hosting friends at home, planning a celebration, or gathering colleagues, I’ll guide your group through a curated wine experience that’s relaxed, educational, and genuinely fun.

How This Service Works
1. Schedule a Planning Call
We’ll start with a short call to discuss:
Your event date, location, and guest count
Your menu and overall vibe
Wine budget and tasting goals
Please allow at least a weekend between our call and your event so I can curate thoughtfully.
2. Wine Pairing & Recommendations
I’ll recommend wines you can conveniently purchase at Binny’s, paired to:
Up to six menu items, or
A tasting theme you’d like to explore
This keeps the process simple and flexible while still feeling curated.
3. Wine Selection Confirmation
You’ll select the wines and send me photos of the bottles you’ve chosen, making sure the photos clearly show:
Winery / producer
Vintage (year)
Wine name and style
Any other identifying details
This ensures accuracy and allows me to tailor the tasting notes precisely.
4. Custom Tasting Materials
I’ll prepare:
Guest-friendly tasting and discussion notes
An evaluation sheet for guests to jot thoughts and favorites
Talking points that keep the tasting engaging and approachable
5. Event Day Support
I’ll arrive 30 minutes before your event to:
Assist with setup
Review flow and pacing
Make sure everything is ready for a smooth start
Then I’ll lead your 2-hour wine tasting, guiding guests through the wines and facilitating an experience that’s relaxed, informative, and memorable — wherever you choose to host.
6. Follow-Up & Relationship Building
After your event, you’re welcome to share feedback and reflections.Many clients return for future gatherings, themed tastings, or gift-card experiences — and I love building long-term relationships around wine and hospitality.
What’s Not Included
To keep the experience flexible and cost-effective for you, a few items are not included in this service:
Wine Purchases
Guests/hosts purchase the wine directly (typically from Binny’s). This gives you full control over your wine budget and ensures you get the best pricing available.
Glassware & Service Supplies
Please provide:
Wine glasses
Water glasses
Spittoons or dump buckets (if desired)
Napkins, plates, utensils, or other service items
(I’m happy to advise on quantities or styles if you need guidance.)
Food or Catering
I do not provide food, but I’ll happily help you think through menu pairings or simple bites that elevate the tasting.
Venue Setup Beyond Wine Service
I’ll assist with wine-related setup 30 minutes before your event, but full event décor, furniture placement, or general hosting duties remain with the host or event planner.
